American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for a Stepdown unit requiring 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience and KY or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the 3 South Stepdown unit with a 1:4/5 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule (3x12 and 4x12 rotating, 19:00-7:30)
• Float required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Meditech charting system experience preferred

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• 2 years of previous PCU/Stepdown experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Valid driver's license required with address matching permanent residence
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted, though medical and religious exemptions may be considered case by case
• 2 professional references required, one from a charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year

• Care for patients requiring telemetry monitoring, cardiac and neurological stepdown-level care
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Must be willing to work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Travelers returning after a prior one-year assignment must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be placed on the same shift or unit
