American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and a KY or compact RN license.

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:5-7
• Night shift schedule rotating 3x12 and 4x12 hours (19:00-7:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling not accommodated
• Meditech EMR used

• Active KY or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of current Med/Surg Tele experience required
• 3-6 months of Level IV Trauma or above experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, blood product administration, and PICC line management
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy management
• Experience managing cardiac drips, dysrhythmia interpretation, and cardiac monitoring
• Experience with neurological conditions including CVA, post-TPA care, and seizure disorders
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted (medical/religious exemptions reviewed case-by-case)
• Two professional references required, one from a Charge nurse or higher and one from a supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Driver's license copy required with address matching permanent address

• Provide care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients including cardiac, neurological, renal, and post-surgical populations
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted
• Must work either a major or minor holiday shift for every holiday
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Previous travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after a one-year assignment before returning
• Only one position submission allowed at a time
• Traveler pairs accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
