This is a year-round role at Walmart, where you will lead a team of exterior service technicians to ensure high-quality landscape and building maintenance.

$26.00/hr – $51.00/hr

As a Lead Technician, you will:

• Lead and train a team of exterior service technicians.
• Ensure safety compliance, workflow efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage work orders using phones, tablets, and laptops.
• Perform landscaping tasks such as grass cutting, weed management, irrigation, pressure washing, and pest/disease control.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and customers.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in commercial landscaping/exterior building maintenance and team leadership.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to facilitate on‑job training.
• Proficiency with mobile work‑order technology.
• Hands‑on landscaping skills (cutting, pruning, pest control).
• Knowledge of irrigation, pressure washing, and building/grounds maintenance.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Commitment to Walmart policies and safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean record.

• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.
• No convictions for DUI/DWI/OUI or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
• No serious traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years while operating a commercial motor vehicle.
• Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification within 90 days of hire.
• Basic English reading and speaking ability.
• 2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.

• Associate’s degree in horticulture or related field.
• Certified nursery and/or landscape professional.
• Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software.
• Experience as a landscaping crew leader or supervisor.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
• State/local licensing where required (e.g., Florida, Texas, California).
