DME Delivery Technician

The Truck Driver is responsible for operating company vehicles, transporting and delivering materials to and from various designated locations.

• Operates vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, to transport materials in all types of weather.
• Loads and unloads vehicles using hand truck, dolly, etc.
• Completes driver daily logs, sections of vehicle log sheet and/or trip ticket form.
• Prepares shipping documents as necessary or required.
• Inspects vehicle, reports condition, and arranges for repair and maintenance, safety inspections, and vehicle license as required and approved and complete monthly reports as required.
• Cleans interior and exterior of vehicle including waxing.
• Checks and adds oil, gas, water, air and other such items.
• May maintain equipment inventory records and assist in completing daily DME activity reports. May assist with quarterly Inventory Reports.
• May perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, spark plugs, etc.
• May be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the store.
• Delivers and sets up medical equipment in the client's place of residence and instructs the proper, safe and efficient operation. Advises patient and/or caregiver regarding maintenance and care of medical equipment.
• Picks up, cleans and makes minor repairs to medical equipment.
• Makes monthly equipment/oxygen maintenance assessment visits.
• Assists with store display and pricing of supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must possess a valid drivers license.
• May be required to travel to any ARH facility occasionally, but not on a regular schedule.
• Must possess the ability to solve arithmetic problems, read and follow directions, function effectively and efficiently on an independent basis, as well as under direct supervision and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Two (2) weeks to one (1) month is required to attain proficiency of performance of assigned duties and responsibilities.
