Field Sales Representative — Detroit Metro

Confidential Consumer Products Company is a growing consumer-products business that makes tobacco‑free nicotine pouches for adults 21 and older.

We’re hiring a Field Sales Representative to grow our presence across independent convenience stores and tobacco retailers in the Detroit metro area. You’ll spend most of your time in the field—opening accounts, earning shelf space, building relationships with store owners, and keeping existing accounts stocked and reordering.

This is a sales role. It is not a merchandising‑only position, a remote role, or a desk‑based account executive job. We’re looking for someone who knows Detroit‑area independent retail and is comfortable walking into stores and asking for the business.

• Run a consistent route across independent convenience stores and tobacco shops
• Open new accounts and expand distribution throughout the territory
• Build relationships with store owners, managers, buyers, and wholesalers
• Sell in products and secure appropriate shelf placement and facings
• Maintain consistent everyday pricing
• Drive reorders and improve sales velocity
• Train store owners and counter staff on the products
• Identify and correct out-of-stocks
• Remove and replace expired products when necessary
• Execute promotions, displays, and other in‑store sales programs
• Work through wholesale partners to support availability and account growth
• Report weekly on new doors, sales velocity, pricing, reorders, and out‑of‑stocks
• Share competitive activity and market feedback with management

• Must be 21 or older
• Must currently live within approximately 25 miles of East Nine Mile Road in Hazel Park
• Oakland County is preferred; nearby parts of Wayne and Macomb counties may also qualify
• Outside sales experience in CPG, beverage, beer, tobacco, nicotine, or a similar retail category
• Familiarity with independent convenience stores, tobacco shops, and local wholesalers
• Proven ability to open accounts and build lasting customer relationships
• Comfortable prospecting in person and making cold visits to retailers
• Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory independently
• Comfortable tracking activity and results using a CRM or sales reporting system
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle

• Commission and bonus opportunity, with total compensation up to $96,000
• Additional discretionary bonuses may be awarded based on individual and company performance
• Mileage reimbursement for use of a personal vehicle
• Opportunity for advancement when performance expectations are consistently met
