Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an inpatient rehab position requiring a PA or compact RN license and acute inpatient rehab experience.

• Work in an acute inpatient rehab unit
• Night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Weekend shifts required every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call or floating required
• First time travelers are accepted for this position
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Requested time off must be declared up front; no additions after submission
• RTO must be submitted at time of application
• Modules are completed during orientation
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted with a different pay rate
• Standard dress code and team structure typical for inpatient rehab

• Active PA or compact RN license in hand
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 2 years of experience in the rehab specialty required
• Experience in acute inpatient rehab, blood glucose monitoring, and care and management of ports required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Submission of valid references and copies of certifications required
• Pass/fail exam required prior to clearance, with up to 3 attempts allowed
• PA fingerprinting required, may require travel over 100 miles
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
