Responsibilities- Diagnose mechanical problems accurately and explain options to customers.
- Perform warranty repairs, recalls, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs on a variety of makes, with a focus on Toyota.
- Provide regular maintenance services, ensuring vehicles remain in top condition.
- Maintain a high level of customer service, building trust and ensuring a positive experience.
- Use diagnostic equipment and test tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and the service manager to coordinate repairs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Certified/senior technician with the respective manufacturer, meeting or exceeding ASE test requirements.
- Completed manufacturer training for warranty repairs/recalls, PDI’s, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with an automotive technology or vocational/trade certificate preferred.
- Basic computer skills for timekeeping and parts inventory systems.
- Strong communication skills: ability to understand instructions, explain procedures to customers, and collaborate with team members.
- Attendance: regular, predictable presence at the dealership; 5 days per week with rotating Saturdays, holidays, and Sunday closure until 6 p.m.
- Physical demands: lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and use hands in various positions; exposure to noise, vibration, and exhaust fumes.
- Verbal and written proficiency to read and comprehend instructions and to present information effectively.
- Basic math and reasoning skills to apply common sense and follow technical manuals.
Salary range: $55,000 – $100,000 per year.
