We are looking for an experienced and proactive Engineering Buyer to join a purchasing team for an established engineering business. You will oversee the procurement of goods, materials, and services to support operational needs, focusing on cost efficiency, quality standards, and on-time delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day purchasing of engineering materials.
- Review system data daily to action stock levels and issue purchase orders.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, monitoring quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and contractual agreements.
- Procurement experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation and numerical accuracy skills.
Salary is negotiable.
The contract will be made permanent for the right candidate.
