Your day-to-day / What we are expecting from you / Your responsibilities
  • Operate the local CAD system and develop a solid understanding of its principles.
  • Review customer specification control drawings (SCD) and statement of work (SOW) data.
  • Review job orders and prepare cost‑effective design concept based on existing division designs or any new and innovative approach to meet customer’s requirements.
  • Create new drawings and parts lists or revise existing ones; work with drafters and checker in correctly completing design from concept through drawing release.
  • Review and approve new drawings, parts lists or revise existing ones.
  • Assist in the preparation of customer’s proposals and test procedures (ATP, DTP and QTP).
  • Prepare design analysis to confirm proper product performance to meet maximum operating parameters.
Who We Are Looking For
  • B.S. Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Seven years minimum experience in the design and development of mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic components.
  • Background in fluid dynamics a necessity.
  • Good working knowledge of materials, processes, MIL or NASA specs, manufacturing and testing practices.
  • Familiarity with drafting and checking of drawings using ANSI Y14.5M-1982.
  • Familiarity with CAD system and personal computer software required.
Ideally, you will also have
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as concerns product design/reliability.
  • Assist Program Management through follow up of project through document control, manufacturing, development, qualification, assembly, quality inspection and customer relations.
  • Maintain customer communication to assure smooth project transition.
  • Create customer required data (i.e., MIUL, FMEA Reliability Studies).
