Community Carer – Todmorden & Hebden Bridge

Job Description
Rotherwood Cares is currently recruiting compassionate and reliable Community Carers to support individuals within their own homes across the Todmorden and Hebden Bridge areas.
This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting people to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life within their local communities.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
* Supporting service users with medication in accordance with care plans and relevant procedures.
* Assisting with moving and handling, following appropriate training and safety guidelines.
* Preparing meals and supporting service users with nutrition and hydration.
* Promoting independence, dignity and choice in all aspects of care.
* Providing companionship and emotional support.
* Assisting with household tasks where required as part of the care plan.
* Monitoring service users' wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns.
* Maintaining accurate daily records and following individual care plans.
* Adhering to safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety, and infection prevention procedures.
Requirements
* A full UK driving licence.
* Access to your own reliable vehicle.
* A caring, patient and professional approach.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Reliability and the ability to work independently within the community.
* Previous experience in a care setting is desirable.
* Relevant care qualifications and training are advantageous.

* Competitive pay of £13.00–£14.00 per hour, depending on experience and suitability.
* Mileage paid at 55p per mile.
