This role requires an outgoing personality and passion for sharing nutrition knowledge and inspiring people to achieve their health goals. You will conduct classes, private coaching, community outreach, and retail operations such as customer service, stocking, and cleaning. As the store’s nutrition professional, you will serve as an educational resource for staff, customers, and the community, promoting science-based nutrition education. This position supports Natural Grocers' mission to improve community health and foster a sustainable, just food system.

• Act as the nutrition education resource for customers, crew, and community.
• Assist customers in the vitamin aisles, providing product information and education.
• Perform retail operations, maintain literature and book departments, stock and face products, and assist with cleaning and merchandising.
• Provide nutrition education through classes, demonstrations, and outreach programs.
• Train crew members and maintain the Crew Wellness Board.
• Motivate and encourage crew participation in employee nutrition initiatives.

• Respond to questions and review summaries.
• Conduct private health coaching sessions.
• Build community relationships and seek outreach opportunities.
• Maintain continuing education requirements and review research.
• Assist with organizing company events and managing educational materials.

• Degree or certification in nutrition or related field (e.g., dietetics, biology, biochemistry, naturopathy).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage customers and promote events and services.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and passionate about nutrition education.
• Comfortable with retail tasks and working in a dynamic environment.

Continuing education requirements must be fulfilled as per certification standards, including 16 CE hours annually if not CEC-credited.
