The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Region Three is now hiring Seasonal Transportation Technicians to support operations at our Heber Maintenance Station.

As a Seasonal Transportation Technician I, you will operate heavy equipment and perform specialized roadway maintenance, including:
- Snow & Ice Removal:
Clear state roadways using snowplows, graders, blowers, and specialized heavy equipment. - Roadway Maintenance:
Repair traffic signs, fences, guardrails, and other critical roadway features. - Equipment Operation:
Safely operate, inspect, and maintain CDL-restricted vehicles, tools, and heavy equipment. - Emergency Response:
Assist with urgent roadway issues and storm response as needed.
- Valid CDL:
Must possess a current Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) upon hire. - Response Time:
Ability to report to the Heber Maintenance Station (200 S 600 W, Heber, UT 84032) within 30 minutes during call-outs. - Flexibility:
Willingness to work nights, be on-call, and respond promptly during severe weather and winter storms. - Physical Capability:
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions. - Mindset:
Dependable, motivated team player who prioritizes safety and takes pride in public service.
- Previous UDOT, heavy roadway maintenance, or highway construction experience.
- Heavy equipment and CDL vehicle operation.
- Commercial snow removal and winter driving operations.
