What You’ll DoAs a Project Engineer at THK, you’ll play a key role in developing, coordinating, and executing a variety of manufacturing projects. This role is both technical and collaborative, offering opportunities to grow your skills while directly contributing to THK’s success.
Key Responsibilities- Project Development:
Design, develop, and test mechanical components, equipment, and systems used in industrial machinery. - Manufacturing Support:
Prepare Manufacturing Orders (MOs) in support of the scheduling department; ensure timely and accurate processing. - Process Improvement:
Analyze workflows and spatial utilization to identify efficiency improvements and support process innovation. - Planning & Reporting:
Set project timelines, monitor progress, and report updates to upper management; help prepare detailed engineering project proposals. - Troubleshooting:
Proactively solve problems and contribute to both short‑ and long‑term business goals. - Cross‑Functional Support:
Collaborate with engineering, scheduling, and purchasing teams to ensure project alignment and timely material availability. - Communication:
Participate in meetings with contractors and internal stakeholders; support project management activities. - Inventory & Materials Management:
Issue Bills of Materials (BOMs), confirm material availability, and visually verify inventory on the production floor when needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a hands‑on setting.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and scheduling practices.
- Eagerness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
