POSITION SUMMARY
Supervision of the manufacturing operations process and personnel to meet / exceed the established company goals and objectives for the year, including production staff development.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Meet production goals and manage workflow
- Align production sequences to maximize efficiency
- Close out completed production orders accurately and in a timely fashion
- Setting and achieving performance targets for production efficiency
- Developing a project specification with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines
- Continuously finding ways to improve production efficiency
- Fully understand and develop standard costs and routings in SAP in conjunction with the finance team
- Ensure the manufacturing operation meets and follows all internal/external regulatory and ISO requirements and operating procedures
- Ensuring the facility complies with all health and safety regulations
- Ensure good housekeeping practices within the production facility
- Assist with GMP and procedures
- Ensure compliance with GMP and any changes
- Assist in the annual GMP audit process
- Maintain collaboration between shifts to improve production line start-ups and changeovers
- Quality Control requirements as determined by the Quality Assurance Department
- Oversee and assist the production associates on a daily basis
- Special projects, as assigned
- Engineering Degree
- 3-5 years manufacturing experience
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience and successful team building
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Strong computer skills, including SAP, MS Office, Access
- Basic understanding of MRP as a tool to sequence production
- Supervisory and team building skills
- Analytical, organizational, & troubleshooting skills
- Operation of required Quality Control test equipment
- Decision-making, problem-solving skills
- Ability to streamline production processes to ensure that the company’s operational and financial targets are met
