Food Production Worker

We need day shift employees ASAP! 3 12‑hour shifts:
Work 36 hours, get paid for 40 hours

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking ambitious full‑time food manufacturing employees for a Production Worker, Relief Position. This is an entry‑level position; you may assist various machine operators, perform a variety of manual labor tasks in the production of baked goods, and may be assigned shipping and/or sanitation duties as well. Generally, you will report to the shift supervisor and your duties may vary from day to day.

All schedules are based on business need!

• Sunday‑Monday‑Tuesday 5:30AM‑5:30PM
• Sunday‑Monday‑Tuesday 7:00AM‑7:00PM
• Saturday‑Wednesday‑Thursday 5:30AM‑5:30PM
• Saturday‑Wednesday‑Thursday 7:00AM‑7:00PM

• Arrive on or before scheduled start time to review duties for the day.
• Strict attendance policy.
• Assist machine operators in setup and monitoring of equipment.
• Monitor product quality according to company standards (proper size, color, texture, slicing, packaging, etc.).
• Physically handle product, materials, and equipment (pan trucks, baskets, racks, pans, product, etc.).
• Keep equipment and area clean and orderly.
• Properly wear personal protective equipment as supplied and directed by the company; wear uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP/company standards.
• Communicate/coordinate with others to maintain and assure proper product flow.
• Assist other members of the bakery team where needed (breakdowns/emergencies, etc.).
• Perform sanitation, production, and/or shipping functions as required by plant supervision, as well as other duties as directed by plant management.
• Practice and comply with all company policies and procedures including safety and work rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Supervision.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
• Able to perform basic math and computer skills.
• Must abide by The Schwebel Baking Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment: frequently walking, standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
