Preventative Maintenance Specialist
THK Manufacturing of America INC. is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Specialist to support our manufacturing operations and facility infrastructure. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, equipment support, and waste management to ensure the smooth operation of both production and plant facilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance & Equipment Care
- Perform routine maintenance on facility systems including forklifts, aerial lifts, cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and mist collectors.
- Replace filters, belts, and other components on facility and production equipment.
- Complete daily checks for chiller units, air compressors, and cooling systems.
- Maintain clean and safe waste collection and recycling areas.
- Load and manage scrap, recyclable materials, and facility waste.
- Support snow removal, roof repair, light fixture changes, and minor plumbing.
- Identify and report equipment issues to supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records through our electronic work order system.
- Assist with rigging heavy equipment and support subcontractors during facility-related projects.
- Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work permit protocols.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and company standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and assist in training others as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred. - Experience:
1+ year of hands‑on experience in a mechanical, electrical, or maintenance setting preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and during off‑hours or emergencies.
- Ability to read measurements, perform calculations, and keep accurate records.
- Forklift and aerial lift operation (certifications a plus).
- Basic computer skills for entering maintenance logs and tracking work orders.
