Job Summary
Tetra Pak seeks a dedicated and experienced Commissioning Engineer. The role involves overseeing the commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of Tetra Pak Cheese equipment (and possibly other segments) at customer sites worldwide. You will manage the commissioning of equipment lines, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction, all while meeting project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This global, project‑based position requires strong automation, mechanical, electrical, and process skills, hands‑on experience, and a commitment to safety and quality.

This is a global role with extensive travel (up to 85% yearly). The preferred locations are Heerenveen, The Netherlands, or Olsztyn, Poland.

What You Will Do
You will commission, start‑up, and troubleshoot cheese processing equipment and complete production lines at customer sites worldwide. Your responsibilities include performing factory and delivery tests, supporting software testing, fine‑tuning automation and control systems, and providing technical training and support to customers. You will work hands‑on with key cheese technologies such as milk treatment, coagulation, curd handling, whey separation, pressing, and forming, while collaborating closely with project and engineering teams.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare for commissioning activities (office or factory)

Execute commissioning and start‑up, and performance validation of cheese processing equipment and full cheese production lines at customer sites worldwide

Perform factory acceptance tests (FAT) and delivery testing in engineering workshops in cooperation with the automation department

Troubleshoot and optimize systems to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and reliability

Support installation activities as commissioning engineer and ensure systems meet process and safety requirements

Provide technical training and guidance to customers and local service teams

Act as a technical expert on‑site, representing Tetra Pak with professionalism and confidence

Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and competence development within the team

We Believe You Have

A bachelor’s degree and technical background in Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Food Engineering, or a similar field

Strong hands‑on experience with industrial commissioning, start‑up, or field service

Knowledge of process automation systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Schneider, etc.)

Experience in dairy or cheese processing (strong advantage)

Fluency in English (written and spoken)

A valid driving licence
