We are seeking a PMP Certified Project Manager to support the Montana Department of Corrections Project Management and Software Implementation Services (PPPMO) Project. This role will provide client-side project leadership and oversight for complex enterprise software implementation activities, with a focus on governance, integrated planning, vendor performance, risk management, and successful delivery across multiple work streams.
Duties- Lead complex enterprise software implementation, modernization, and systems integration project activities from planning through implementation and stabilization.
- Establish and maintain project governance, integrated plans and schedules, change control, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, decision management, and executive reporting.
- Coordinate business process review, requirements validation, data migration, system integration, testing, user acceptance testing, training, deployment readiness, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Assess vendor performance, identify delivery variances, and communicate practical corrective actions to client and project stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings, facilitate decisions, manage competing priorities, and maintain progress across multiple work streams.
- Prepare client-facing status reports, governance materials, decision documents, executive communications, and other project management artifacts.
- Coordinate stakeholders and delivery teams to support timely resolution of risks, issues, dependencies, and implementation challenges.
- At least five (5) years of experience leading complex enterprise software implementation, modernization, or systems integration projects.
- Demonstrated experience working with or within Housing Finance Agencies.
- Experience serving in a client-side, owner-side, project management office, program management, or independent oversight role.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, integrated planning, schedule management, change control, risk and issue management, dependency tracking, decision management, and executive reporting.
- Experience coordinating business process review, requirements validation, data migration, system integration, testing, user acceptance testing, training, deployment readiness, cutover, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ability to assess vendor performance, identify delivery variances, and communicate practical corrective actions in a clear and constructive manner.
- Ability to lead meetings, facilitate decisions, manage competing priorities, and maintain progress across multiple work streams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing client-facing status reports, governance materials, decision documents, and executive communications.
- Demonstrated critical thinking, organization, problem-solving, self-management, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and project planning, collaboration, reporting, and presentation tools.
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Demonstrated experience working with or within a housing finance agency, department of housing, public housing authority, mortgage or loan servicing organization, or comparable public-sector financial program.
- Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise systems that support accounting, lending, loan servicing, single-family programs, multifamily programs, affordable housing, grants, compliance, or financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing data migration, data governance, system integration, reconciliation, testing, and regulatory or internal-control requirements.
- Demonstrated experience developing or reviewing project artifacts for regulated environments, including financial controls, data security, auditability, and compliance documentation.
