Shodair Children’s Hospital is seeking a compassionate, energetic Behavioral Coach to support students in our school-based day treatment program. This role provides direct care, supervision, and therapeutic interaction to help children develop classroom skills, positive behavior, and healthy emotional expression.
Responsibilities- Support students in classroom activities, therapeutic assignments, and educational programming.
- Model appropriate social skills, manners, and safe emotional expression.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment, using non-violent crisis intervention techniques.
- Communicate with families, school staff, and treatment team members.
- Document student progress and behaviors in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with medication administration during the school day and summer programs.
- Participate in field trips, summer programming, and student transportation as needed.

Starting at $17.64 per hour

- High School Diploma or GED required; college coursework in human services preferred.
- Two years’ experience working with emotionally disturbed youth or in a human services role.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage in active supervision and manage challenging behaviors.
- Completion of Medication Aide training (provided upon hire).
