CRIMINAL JUSTICE SERVICES DATA COORDINATOR

Beyond general supervision of the Criminal Justice Services Data Analyst Supervisor, this position performs criminal justice data and program analysis and provides department support, such as purchasing, financial reporting, and grant coordination.

Through a holistic and collaborative approach, the Department aims to continually improve our county’s criminal justice system by providing effective community alternatives, solutions, and services to increase community safety, reduce crime, and assist defendants in finding success.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminology, criminal justice, statistics, data analytics, business analytics, project management or related field (preferred)
  • One year of data analysis experience (required)
  • One year of office management and/or finance experience (preferred)
  • Experience in correctional, criminal justice, or community service setting (preferred)
  • Completion of 24 hours of job‑related training per year, including at least 8 hours on mental health disorders and recovery

Duties
  • Gather criminal justice data from various sources, analyze and summarize data
  • Track data and trends; assist with developing strategies to improve system performance
  • Identify, review, and integrate national, state, and local performance measure reports
  • Conduct data program analysis to evaluate program outcomes and success rates
  • Maintain and update data dashboards regularly
  • Create visual representations of data findings using various tools
  • Collect and monitor financial data costs for jail, courts, arrests, law enforcement, etc.
  • Purchase program and office supplies
  • Code invoices for payment
  • Prepare reports and assist with the annual budget process
  • Track spending on department programs, revenues, grants, and projects
  • Invoice grantors and ensure proper disbursement of funds
  • Prepare grant funding reports and maintain documentation
  • Post items to the Commission agenda as required
  • Maintain and update department brochures, marketing materials, web pages, and social media regularly
  • Maintain databases
  • Coordinate, assist, and prepare agendas and materials for CJCC and CAC meetings
  • Record and transcribe meeting minutes; ensure compliance with open‑meeting laws
  • Coordinate and assist with virtual and in‑person meetings
  • Perform Court Service Assistant duties if required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Other Duties
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and conferences for professional development
  • Conduct crisis intervention as needed
  • Attend and testify in court or administrative hearings on behalf of program participants
