Oncology - Helena MT

Benefis Health System has an exciting new Oncology practice opportunity at our multi-specialty building in Helena, Montana established in May 2024. This oncology department is an extension of our main Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute, which provides a truly progressive approach to preventing and diagnosing cancer and is ACOS and NAPBC certified (since 1981) with an active multidisciplinary tumor board with a team of expert medical professionals.

We are excited to continue to provide an extension of our high standard of cancer care to the Helena patient population.

Helena Clinic Details:

• Established oncology clinic and team including an experienced oncology nurse/navigator, 3 infusion nurses, 3 pharmacists and 2 pharmacy technicians, with opportunity to grow the program adding additional physician or advanced practice provider support.

• Clinical office space is located next to the beautiful 15-chair infusion area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the mountains and lakes of Helena with the option of private infusion rooms for longer treatments.

• Other services in the building include lab, general radiology, x-ray and CT (MRI available in a separate location) and pharmacy, in addition to an ambulatory surgery center.

• Multidisciplinary tumor board, meeting twice a week (virtual attendance).

• Opportunity for telehealth visits, outreach and cancer events in the community.

• Current specialist colleagues at our Helena location:
  Primary Care, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Cardiology, Podiatry, and Occupational Health, in addition to various outreach clinics.

Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute Resources in Great Falls:

• Physician focused cancer care with multidisciplinary teams including: 3 medical oncologists, 2 radiation oncologists, 3 oncology support APPs, a dosimetrist, a physicist, therapists, nursing, 2 clinical supervisors, nurse navigators, social workers, genetic counseling, clinical research, cancer registry, financial advocacy and prior authorization teams

• Well-attended multidisciplinary tumor board, meeting twice a week

• 54,000 square foot cancer treatment facility complete with an indoor healing atrium, a lazy river and soothing waterfall, massive fireplace, meditation room and a brand-new teaching kitchen.

• 4,000 square feet infusion center with 36 chemo chairs and semi-private and private infusion rooms to assure the highest patient experience possible

• Onsite infusion supervising nurse, oncology certified pharmacy, clinical research and clinical trial departments, and great support staff

• Onsite, lab, pharmacy, PET CT, CT and x-ray

• Dedicated housing facility for our patients and their caregivers to stay at no cost - some patients drive 5-7 hours to receive care at our facility due to our reputation

• Friendly, appreciative patient population serving a catchment population of 275,000 in Northcentral Montana
