We are currently seeking caring professionals for the 25-26 School Year for all grade levels. Short and Long Term Assignments Available.
At Helena Public Schools, our vision is to foster dynamic educational experiences that prepare all students for life. As a Substitute Teacher, you contribute to this mission by providing instruction and support in the classroom during a teacher’s absence. You will work as part of a team serving 8,000 students across 18 campuses in Helena.
Some of what you will do:- Promote a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth in the teacher’s absence.
- Assist individual students and/or small groups based on lesson plans.
- Maintain appropriate student records.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One year of college education and prior experience working with children is preferred.
- Montana Teacher License is ideal.
Substitute teachers enjoy a flexible schedule and can choose preferred locations and assignments. Opportunities for short and long-term coverage. Earn $130 - $140 per day depending on certification. Long-term assignments may be converted to a teacher contract with the appropriate credentials.
