Position Overview
Helena College, a comprehensive two‑year college of the University of Montana, is seeking a full‑time, tenure‑track Anatomy & Physiology Instructor to join the Donaldson Campus starting August 2026. The instructor will teach courses BIOH 201 and BIOH 211 with laboratory components, leading students toward careers in healthcare and STEM fields. Key Responsibilities- Teach BIOH 201 and BIOH 211 with laboratory components in a traditional, face‑to‑face format.
- Maintain a regular on‑campus presence to build relationships with students and faculty.
- Teach 30–32 credits per academic year, typically eight courses per year.
- Ensure effective instruction through student evaluations, assessment of learning outcomes, and participation in departmental and institutional planning.
- Maintain accessible course materials and use the Canvas LMS for grading and instruction.
- Participate in professional development and college service activities.
- Demonstrate commitment to and understanding of the Helena College mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Create an environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates all differences.
- Use interpersonal and communication skills to establish strong working relationships with students, faculty, and community stakeholders.
- Employ effective teaching strategies that enhance student academic success through evidence‑based techniques, technology, curriculum evaluation, and outcomes assessment.
- Seek opportunities to gain experience working and collaborating in diverse and inclusive settings and continually improve.
- A master’s degree in Biology, Physiology, Human Biology, Kinesiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related program (equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered).
- Ability to maintain a regular, physical presence on the Helena College Donaldson campus.
- Doctoral degree in a related program.
- Prior teaching experience at the two‑year college level (two years preferred).
- Experience teaching online and using a Learning Management System such as Canvas, Moodle, D2L, or similar.

Work ScheduleRegular work week:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The day and time may vary depending on program needs.
