LocationWork location negotiable within Montana Service Territory - Billings, Bozeman, Butte, Great Falls, Helena or Missoula.
Qualifications- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- BS in Engineering is required
- Experience in gas distribution operations and/or 49 CFR Part 191 and 192 compliance preferred
- Professional Engineer's License is a plus but not required
- Ability to obtain Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Certification
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in technical writing and documentation
- Must be able to adapt to changing work requirements
- A valid Driver's License or the ability to obtain one
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadline requirements
- Must be organized and detail‑oriented
- Practical working knowledge of Microsoft applications
- Experience supporting and working with cross‑functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Get Into Energy – Energy Industry Fundamental 2.0 certification is a plus (click to certify at no cost)
- Engineering design and technical expertise in gas distribution engineering preferred
- Provide guidance to gas distribution operations through engineering reviews and technical computations
- Develop system strategies in gas distribution for operational program efficiencies and technical competency
- Drive continuous improvement in gas distribution code compliance through proactive strategy development and implementation
- Produce reports and technical documentation to ensure regulatory alignment across gas operations
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Apply advanced mathematical concepts and analyze and manipulate data
- Overnight travel as required for business up to 20% of the time

Full‑time position.
$64,800 to $139,300 per year, depending on experience.
