Corporate Item Processing II
Location: Helena, MT
About the RoleResponsible for daily operations of Glacier Bancorp’s centralized data center for item processing for its subsidiary banks, including keying, balancing, and processing Fed returns, chargebacks, and outgoing returns, as well as related reports and customer notices.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile incoming returns GL for assigned banks daily, working with divisions to correctly process items on accounts with special instructions.
- Reconcile outgoing returns GL for assigned banks daily; review and identify entries on the GL report, receive documentation from the Federal Reserve or Endpoint Exchange on adjustments, create and monitor adjustments to ensure they clear properly, update the spreadsheet of carrying items daily and reconcile to GL balance.
- Partner with accounting staff to process entries as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Education: High School Diploma / GED.
Experience: 1 year of bank operations experience in item processing, backroom processing or bank servicing.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of regulations such as Regulation CC and NACHA Operating Rules.
Basic knowledge of exception item processing.
Skills & Abilities- Courtesy and tact, with the ability to interact calmly and professionally with a variety of people.
- Strong overall knowledge of item processing and effective problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain accuracy while working quickly.
- Reliability and timely attendance.
Occasional travel (less than 10 days per year) by automobile, commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation; ability to lodge in public facilities.
Working ConditionsIndoors, a climate‑controlled shared work area. Minimal noise. Sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
Compensation & BenefitsHourly pay at approximately $20.17 per hour (Helena, MT). Full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, health savings account, Employee Assistance Program, retirement savings plans (401(k) and Profit‑Sharing), disability benefits, education and training benefits, and paid time off. PTO accrues at 0.0745 per hour worked for part‑time employees and up to a maximum of 240 hours per year for full‑time employees.
