The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division in Helena.
The Communications Information Specialist position supports all internal and external communications strategies for the Public Health and Safety Division (PHSD). This position supports the implementation of the PHSD Communications Plan in alignment with state health improvement goals, while providing direction on division staff to deliver timely, accurate, and accessible information to the public.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity- Knowledge of public relations principles, media strategy, writing for diverse audiences, and digital platform management (e.g., Hootsuite, Buzz Sprout, social media).
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, standard computer/office applications, and strict ADA document compliance.
- Practical skills in project planning and designing and delivering communications-related training.
- Strong decision‑making, analytical problem‑solving, and customer‑service orientation.
Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, English, business administration, or another relevant field.
Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case‑case basis.
