The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Senior & Long Term Care Division.
This position administers the objectives of Montana's Community Services Bureau for the programmatic and financial oversight of the demonstration project. This is a grant funded position and is subject to renewal every two years.
This position plans, develops, implements and oversees the Money Follows the Person Demonstration Project targeted at developing and expanding improvement and access to home and community based care and Montana's long term supports and services system of access.

Qualifications for this Career OpportunityKnowledge of long term care systems and services both community based and institutional.
Ability to research and interpret Medicaid federal and state laws, rules and regulations.
Knowledge of federal grant management.
Knowledge of the budget process.
Skill in developing training materials and program content.
- Meet minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Services or a closely related field.
- Three years of program experience working to promote community integration or working with long term care service delivery models for people with disabilities and/or the elderly.
- One year of supervisory experience required.
- Other combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case‑though basis.
This position is grant-funded, currently approved through December 2028. Congressional reauthorization will determine the availability of ongoing funding.
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
