Are you a passionate mental health professional seeking a meaningful role in children's lives? Join our multidisciplinary treatment team as a School-Based Therapist at Rossiter Elementary School and make a direct impact in a school setting. In this role, you'll provide therapeutic services to students and families, contribute to treatment planning, and support students' emotional, behavioral, and academic success through evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities- Provide individual, group, and family therapy for school-aged children.
- Conduct clinical assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans.
- Participate actively in treatment team, IEP, student care, and clinical meetings.
- Deliver psychoeducation to students and their families.
- Address family dynamics and psychosocial, environmental, educational, and cultural factors impacting student well-being.
- Coordinate care and serve as liaison among students, families, schools, and community providers.
- Support students in crisis, including leading safety planning and utilizing de-escalation and restraint protocols when necessary.
- Lead therapeutic summer programming, including experiential learning activities and field trips.
- Strong Clinical Skills:
Proficient in individual, group, and family therapy; experienced with child and adolescent mental health. - Collaborative:
Works well with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams. - Effective Communicator:
Clearly conveys information to students, parents, and professionals. - Culturally Competent:
Sensitive to diverse backgrounds and family dynamics. - Emotionally Intelligent:

- Graduation from an accredited Master’s degree program in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a closely related field is required.
- 2 years of experience working with children who are emotionally disturbed is preferred.
- Evidence of training and/or experience in individual, group, and family therapy is preferred.
- Must possess advanced skills in oral and written communication, as well as working knowledge of various theories, their implications, and human development.
- Current candidate's license in the state of Montana (PCLC, SWLC, etc.).
- Eligible for licensure as LCPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the State of Montana and actively working towards Montana licensure per the Board of Behavioral Health requirements.
