As a PRN Travel Phlebotomist, you’ll provide services to client employees and their spouses as part of our HRA travel team in Montana. This exciting position supports HRA events with typical event hours of 6:00 am‑11:00 am, peak season February–October. Must reside in or near Anaconda, Helena, Billings, Butte, or Missoula and be able to travel overnight within the state. You’ll also assist with equipment setup/teardown.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Work independently in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with safety and organizational policies and procedures.
- Assist with supply inventory.
- May instruct phlebotomy procedure to new employees.
- Understand and abide by all BSFHC infection control guidelines and safety procedures; know location and use of MSDS material and emergency equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Current national certification in Phlebotomy from a Premise Health approved organization OR certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Phlebotomy program with hands‑on externship completed and passed (online courses not acceptable).
- CPR (BLS for community/lay responder or Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer – the copy must include the front and back of card as applicable). Certification must include "hands‑on" evaluation of skills by the trainer/instructor. Online courses not accepted. Must also meet the American Heart Association (AHA) standards but need not be an AHA certificate.
- Six months to one year phlebotomy experience in a healthcare environment or satisfactory completion of an approved phlebotomy course and completion of 100 hours clinical experience.
