Platform Engineer II Basic support for IT services, such as Windows Server/application technologies assistance. This is an entry level IT support position, in which IT support tasks can be taught while on the job. Assist with day-to-day IT support functions and maintenance activities. Other technology support areas include server OS, various core software applications assistance services and physical device hardware or software maintenance.

Major Accountabilities:

• Assist escalated end users with Windows Server hardware or software problems.
• Load or remove core and non-core software applications.
• Moves, adds, and changes to Windows Server hardware and peripherals.
• Perform project or maintenance tasks under the direction of management or upper level engineers.
• Basic asset control and tracking services.
• Lead/Assist Windows server hardware and OS upgrades

Experience:

• A basic knowledge and understanding of Windows Server and problem resolution procedures is preferred.
• Windows server software experience or certifications will provide additional consideration.
• Any help desk or customer contact skills will also provide additional consideration.
• Experience with automation framework (Power Shell/Ansible/Terraform)

Skills/ Abilities:

• Professionalism skills and good work ethics are required.
• Customer support and communications skills are preferred.
• Ability to follow documented processes and procedures with minimal supervision
