Cooney Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center is searching for a talented Charge Nurse to join our team. Our facilities deliver outstanding care and foster strong employee bonds. The primary purpose of the Charge Nurse is to ensure the highest quality of resident care, support staff, and establish a positive reputation in the community while delivering on Eduro Health Care values of wellness, compassion, customer experience, and company results.

• Providing nursing care as directed by the Director of Nursing and supervising the program aide assigned to assist with nursing services.
• Taking and monitoring patient vital signs.
• Assisting patients with eating, dressing, and bathing.
• Administering medication.
• Communicating changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians, and family members.
• Maintaining accurate patient records.
• Collecting specimen samples when needed.
• Participating in patient care planning.
• Preparing patients for transfers or discharge.
• Assisting in medical procedures.
• Managing emergency medical situations.

• Valid LVN/RN license in good standing.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program.
• Completion of orientation required by company policy.
• Health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Criminal background check with no criminal activity.
• Provide satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three (3) days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
