Registered Nurse-Detention

Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office is hiring a permanent fulltime Registered Nurse to work in the Detention Center.

Under direction of the Detention Center Commander this position provides clinical services to the incarcerated population and health care provider support at the Lewis and Clark County Detention Center.

Position is open until filled and applications will be reviewed weekly.

The Lewis & Clark County Sheriff's Office is the chief law enforcement agency in Lewis & Clark County, Montana. It is comprised of over eighty employees including sworn officers, detention officers and professional support staff. The Sheriff's Office provides general law enforcement, detention functions, rural fire support and search and rescue operations for the citizens of Lewis & Clark County in a service area of over two million acres.

Additionally, this agency provides specialized regional services to the entire county and contract law enforcement to specific areas.

The knowledge, skills and abilities required for this position are typically acquired through completion of an accredited nursing program and one (1) year medical office, hospital or clinic experience. Current Registered Nurse licensure in Montana and CPR certification required. Detention center nursing experience preferred, but not necessary.
