Position: Territory Manager I

Territory Manager I

The Hillman Group is seeking a Territory Manager I to join our industry‑leading sales team. This role offers a competitive base salary with commission potential, a comprehensive benefits package (health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), ESPP), paid volunteer days, unlimited PTO, and flexible work hours.

You’ll receive a $450/month car allowance or a company car and have the autonomy to set your own hours and work independently, with plenty of growth opportunities.

Job Summary

Manage the assigned territory to achieve the sales plan while maintaining excellent customer service, drive profitable growth with existing accounts, and develop market share through strong business relationships built on trust and integrity.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain a consistent call cycle with existing accounts and generate additional revenue by introducing new products and programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, responding promptly to their needs and addressing concerns.
  • Identify growth opportunities through expansion of existing customers.
  • Update merchandising displays to current Hillman standards.
  • Generate sales proposals, plan‑ograms, and prepare special orders, pricing, and business agreements.
  • Inform management of competitive issues, current market trends, and business analysis as applicable.
  • Maintain a monthly planner, including special projects and programs coordinated by corporate staff.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, sales management, and other stakeholders.
Education & Experience
  • College degree or equivalent work‑related experience.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications and applicable sales software.
  • Prior sales experience preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Sales/Service environment varies by location; may involve cramped quarters, dust, fumes, or odors. Daily travel required, potentially up to 200 miles per day. Hand/eye coordination, functional vision, and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Sales/Service Medium, lifting up to 30 lbs., occasionally pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
