The Carpenterisresponsibleforindependentlyperformingavarietyofcarpentryandgeneralbuildingconstructiontasksatvariousresidential,commercial,and/orindustrialjobsitelocations.

Thispositionreportstothe Project Foremanor Project Superintendent .

• Performsbasiclayoutworkfornewconstructionsitesand/or remodels.
• Constructsandpositionsconcreteformsforfootingsandfoundationsusingpowerandhandtools.
  
  Occasionallymayhelppourconcrete.
  
  Disassemblesformswhenconcreteisset.
• Installsandsetsfloorjoists,frames floor,andlaysdownsheetsofplywoodtobuildthesub-floor.
• Builds exterior/interior walls,standswallsup,andbraces/securesthemintoplace.
• Installsprotectivesheetingaroundexteriorwallstosealoutweatherfromthewalls.
• Framesopeningsforwindowsanddoors.
• Hangs exterior/interiordoorsandexteriorwindows.
• Installsrooftrusses,sheetsofplywood,andlaysroofsheeting.
• Performsfinishingwork,includinginstallinginsidetrimpieces,sanding,staining,and/or painting.
• Loadsandunloadsmaterialsandsuppliesfromtrucks/trailersatjobsites.
• Packsmaterialstospecificareasattheconstructionsiteasneeded.
• Performshousekeepingandkeepsworkareacleanthroughouttheprojectandremovestrashanddebris.
  
  Will shovel,sweep,andpickupmaterialsbyhand
• Performsdemolitiondutiesofexistingstructuresasneeded.

• Previousconstructionexperiencerequired
• Understandingoffinishingwork
• Basicabilitytoreadandunderstandblueprints
• Knowledgeofoperatingfinishtrimtools
• Abilitytoframewalls
• Abilitytomanageacrewof2-3workers,dependingonprojectrequirements
• Valid driver'slicenseand/orreliabletransportationtojobsites
• Mustprovidebasichandtools;specialtytoolsandequipmentareprovidedbytheemployer
• Abilitytounderstandandfollowverbalandwritteninstructionsin English
