Role : SF61322 p>At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Marine Engineering Training Instructor at our Clyde, Faslane site. The role p>As a Marine Engineering Training Instructor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be providing specialist engineering and nuclear expertise to the training design process.
You will also have the opportunity to support the development of the recently established Babcock Skills business, which provides a wide range of engineering training courses. p>Day to day you’ll collaborate with our Astute-class Training Service team to help train the current and next generation of Submarine Service engineering professionals, as well as: ul> li>Deliver classroom and simulator based training to Nuclear Propulsion Plant Operators and Marine Engineering Equipment Maintainers li>Collaborating with the training design team to update the courseware based on technical changes and identifying the impact of those changes li>Providing SME support to evaluate technical data and notifications of change on existing Marine Engineering and Nuclear Steam Raising Plant courseware li>Delivering additional training (Confined Space, Working at Height, etc.)
to students outside the ACTS program, ensuring it meets prescribed quality and cost standards li>Supporting the routine review and revision of the courseware. /ul> p>This role is full time, working 37 hours per week and will be based on site at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh. We are also looking for Part time and will consider other working arrangements. A relocation package will be offered if allowed.
Essential experience ul> li>Comprehensive knowledge of Naval Nuclear Steam Raising Plant operation li>Recent experience in this field with both up-to-date knowledge and hands-on practical skills li>Comfortable working both collaboratively and autonomously li>Be an engaging communicator with the ability to capture audience attention and deliver information effectively. /ul> Qualifications ul> li>Royal Navy Submarine Service:
Category A or B Watchkeeping Qualification /ul> Security clearance p>The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. p>Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
