As a Mechanical Fitter, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of maintaining and repairing critical mechanical systems and equipment that support national defence operations. This is a hands‑on role where your skills will directly contribute to the safety and reliability of our infrastructure. Day‑to‑day you’ll be:

• Identifying and resolving system defects and manufacturing issues
• Completing planned preventative maintenance across mechanical systems and equipment
• Suggesting improvements to systems and processes to boost productivity
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety legislation and internal policies
• Working within Safe Systems of Work and control of work processes

This role is full time, 36 hours per week Monday to Thursday and is based on site at RNAD Coulport.

• Proven experience in mechanical fitting
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and pressure systems
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Hands‑on experience with mechanical equipment maintenance and repair

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical discipline

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
