Senior Project Manager

The group supports public and industrial stakeholders in executing complex and strategic infrastructure projects that demand high safety and security standards.

This programme leads the delivery of critical upgrade and maintenance works for the client’s ship lift, a key facility supporting the UK’s submarine fleet.

• Lead the planning, delivery, and completion of a complex engineering upgrade and maintenance programme.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and performance reporting.
• Coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders, including the MoD, Babcock Marine, specialist contractors, and site‑management teams.
• Provide project governance, progress updates, financial reporting, and risk management.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Ensure compliance with defence, health & safety, environmental, and security requirements.
• Support audits, assurance activities, and quality control processes.

• Proven experience delivering complex engineering, infrastructure, or maintenance projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, and project governance, including change control.
• Ability to operate effectively within a multi‑agency and highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of defence, nuclear, infrastructure, or heavy engineering projects is highly desirable.

• Formal project management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, APM PMQ, MSP, or equivalent).

The incumbent must hold a minimum SC clearance and be a sole UK national.

The incumbent must be able to work hybrid, with the ability to attend the site 2-3 days per week and/or meet business needs as requested.
