Compensation: £29,658 to £35,169 Depending on Experience

OverviewHelp keep the Royal Navy mission‑ready through safe, specialist lifting operations. This position is a Lifting Operations Slinger at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh.
Key Responsibilities- Support lifting activities that enable planned maintenance and engineering work across the fleet.
- Assist with the movement of loads on and around vessels, jetties and operational areas.
- Follow safe systems of work, risk assessments and health and safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with Lift Supervisors and engineering teams to deliver safe and efficient lifting operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, safety and productivity within lifting activities.
- Experience carrying out slinging and load movement operations on or around vessels.
- Knowledge of fleet engineering activities, equipment and operational procedures.
- Experience of manual handling within industrial, engineering or maritime environments.
- Experience working at height safely and effectively.
- Understanding of risk assessments, safe systems of work and health and safety compliance.
- SVQ Level 2 in Controlling Lifting Operations:
Slinger/Signaller. - Slinging Signaller certification (N402S).
- Rigging/Fleeting Slinging certification (N047).
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who can achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.
