Nedschroef is transitioning from locally driven tooling decisions to a globally governed tooling model. Tooling will increasingly be sourced through preferred suppliers, with a central role for our tooling hub in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.
To make this shift successful, Procurement alone is not sufficient. We are therefore looking for a senior technical tooling leader who brings deep engineering expertise, independence, and authority to act as a key sparring partner and joint decision owner together with Global Procurement in steering global tooling decisions.
Your role in our mission
In close cooperation with Global Tooling Procurement, you support and align Centers of Competence (CoC) in the transition from locally driven tooling decisions to a centrally governed tooling approach and actively drive and enforce global tooling standards and decisions when required, even in complex or conflicting stakeholder situations.
Actively supporting with fact-based cost and investment decisions, together with Global Tooling Procurement you decide where the tooling is developed, built, and maintained, based on technical feasibility, supplier capability, total cost of ownership (TCO), risk, and long‑term strategy.

Qualifications

Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Technical Business Administration

Extensive experience (min. 5‑10 years) in industrial manufacturing, with deep hands‑on expertise in tooling, manufacturing engineering, or industrialization

Proven track record as a technical authority and sparring partner for engineering, purchasing, and senior management

Strong understanding of tooling design, machine parks, manufacturing processes, and supplier capabilities

Experience with make‑or‑buy decisions, supplier assessments, and tooling governance
