Our R&D department is looking for its future Embedded Software Engineer – ePowertrain (E/E Engineering)
As a Software Embedded Engineer for E/E engineering , you will design and develop embedded software solutions that form the backbone of Yanmar's electric off-highway machines. Your expertise will be crucial in creating efficient and innovative electric powertrain architectures that enhance the operability and functionality of our electrified systems. Collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams from Japan and the Netherlands, you'll ensure seamless integration and performance across all electronic components.

Tasks
Design and implement embedded software solutions as part of the E/E architecture for electrified systems.
Collaborate with hardware teams to analyze, compare, and select electronic components, gaining a deep understanding of their behavior and developing effective control strategies.
Ensure seamless integration of electronic components within the E/E architecture, optimizing system performance and functionality.
Innovate and enhance the E/E architecture through continuous code optimization and feature updates.
Work collaboratively with teams across Germany, Japan, and the Netherlands to align software strategies with overall design objectives.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of software architectures, changes, and version control.
Ensure all embedded software solutions comply with industry standards and Yanmar's quality benchmarks.
Requirements
As a key player in our team, you'll bring technical expertise, problem‑solving skills, and a passion for innovation to the table :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in embedded software development for E/E architectures.
Experience in PCU (Powertrain Control Unit) development (instead of BMS focus), preferably in automotive or similar electrification projects.
Proven experience working directly with hardware components, analyzing control behavior, and developing integration and control software for complex systems.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with natural communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multicultural teams.
At least 5 years of hands‑on experience using Matlab™ Simulink for software development and deployment.
