Position: Assistant Team Leader in Training (40 hours)

Logistics Worker with growth potential (40 hours)

Are you ready to work as a logistics worker but also have the ambition to grow into a role with more responsibility? Modexpress offers you the opportunity to develop within a year, with the goal of starting a development plan towards the role of Superuser after this year.

About us

Modexpress is a fast‑growing logistics company with multiple locations and a wide range of clients in the fashion and lifestyle industry. For our location at Heibloemweg 10 in Helmond, we are looking for enthusiastic logistics workers who are eager to grow alongside the steps Modexpress is taking.

Your Main Tasks

In your first 12 months, you will rotate through all departments within our warehouse. The goal is to understand the different logistics processes and systems to gain a full understanding of the logistics operations within our warehouse. After one year, we will assess whether you can start a development plan to become a Superuser, where you will take on more responsibility.

You will actively participate in the following processes:

Inbound Operations
  • Receive and check deliveries for accuracy and condition.
  • Register goods in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Help improve inbound flow and solve issues (e.g. damaged or missing items).
  • Support the team lead in planning and coordination.
Outbound B2C (E‑commerce)
  • Pick and pack customer orders with care and accuracy.
  • Scan and register outbound goods in WMS.
  • Prepare parcels for dispatch via carriers (PostNL, DHL, DPD).
  • Support initiatives to improve outbound flow and reduce errors.
Returns Process
  • Handle returned goods efficiently and accurately.
  • Identify common return reasons and support improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service, Inbound, and Quality Control to streamline the returns process.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at reducing return‑related costs and improving customer satisfaction.
Outbound B2B
  • Process bulk orders for business customers.
  • Ensure accurate packing and shipping.
  • Perform quality checks before dispatch.
  • Support the team lead and contribute to workflow optimisation.
Expedition
  • Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate daily shipments and carrier pickups.
  • Communicate with internal teams to resolve transport issues.
  • Register shipments and assist with documentation.
What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a proactive and motivated logistics worker who is ready to learn and develop within our warehouse. You should have a positive attitude and be willing to take on responsibility while growing with the company.

Here’s what we’d like to see:

  • Basic knowledge of logistics processes is a plus, but not required – we’ll teach you what you need to know!
  • Communication skills:
    You can collaborate well and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Flexibility:
    You’re willing to work in different shifts and adapt to changing work conditions.
  • Willingness to learn:
    You want to learn new systems and processes and develop yourself.
  • Reliability:
    You keep your promises and take your work seriously.
  • Willingness to contribute to process improvements and help optimise warehouse operations.
Additional Skills and Requirements
  • Good command of Dutch and/or English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to rotate across all departments in the warehouse and learn.
  • Available to work two Sundays per month.
  • Flexible to work overtime if needed.

  • Salary according to scale B: €2,559.54 – €2,785.00 per month based on a 40‑hour workweek.
  • 24 vacation days per year, based on a full‑time contract, with the option to buy extra days.
  • 8% vacation allowance.

Working Hours

The working hours are in a rotating shift pattern, where you will alternate between the following shifts every week:

  • Week 1:
    From 07:00 to 16:00 or from 08:00 to 17:00
  • Week 2:
    From 14:00 to 23:00 or from 15:00 to 00:00

Additionally, you may be required to work 2 Sundays per month, depending on the needs of the job at that time.
