We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join the bk plus team based in Helston.

As a Bookkeeper your role will include:

• Monthly bookkeeping including bank and cash reconciliations, entering wages journals, calculating and posting prepayments and accruals.
• Preparation of VAT returns for various clients including sole trade, partnerships and limited companies.
• Running weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls including the submission of pension information to various pension providers
• Preparation and submission of CIS returns
• Preparation of management accounts for various clients on a quarterly basis
• Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day accounting tasks
• Communicating with clients via telephone and email when required
• Assisting and training clients on use of a variety of accounting software

The ideal candidate
:

• Excellent computing skills
• Punctual with an organised and structured approach to work
• Ability to adapt to new software and technology
• Strong communication and people skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office necessary
• Experience with Quick Books, Xero, Sage, Hammock and Free Agent desirable.
