Salary: starting at £31,164 per annum, with yearly increments up to £50,256 within seven years.

You will work as an officer from your first day. Engaging directly with our communities, you are responsible for ensuring they receive an outstanding policing service.
Responsibilities- Engage directly with local communities to maintain public safety.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
- Display strong communication skills, empathy, and compassion.
- Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) – Available for Detectives and Response. Includes a fully funded, paid, and supported level 5 diploma in Professional Policing Practice in the first two years. Requires Level 2 (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths and Level 3 (minimum 32 UCAS points).
- 18‑month service route – 18 months service as a PCSO, Call handler, or Special Constable. Following this, the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) offers a fully funded, paid, and supported Professional Policing degree in the first three years. Requires Level 2 (Grade C/4 or above) in English and Maths and Level 3 (minimum 32 UCAS points).
- Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) – Available for Detectives and Response. Requires a Level 6 Degree in any subject except Professional Policing. Option to obtain a fully funded, paid, and supported Diploma in Professional Policing degree in the first two years.
- Professional Policing Degree (PPD) – Requires a Level 6 Professional Policing Degree and offers initial Police Constable training only in the first two years.
