Thank you for your interest in Hobbs Hill Wood Primary — a welcoming two-form-entry school for children aged 3 to 11.
We’re excited to be looking for a caring, organised and enthusiastic professional to lead our friendly School Office team. Every day brings something different, so we’re looking for someone who is flexible, tactful and great at solving problems. It’s important that you’re approachable, professional and confident communicating with families, staff and visitors. This is a permanent position starting in late April or early May, allowing time for a supportive handover from our retiring Office Manager.
The role is 33.75 to 35 hours per week, term time plus 10 additional days during the school holidays. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.15am to either 4.00pm or 4.15pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. We may be able to offer some flexibility for the right candidate. Staff also benefit from reduced rates for our wraparound care provision.
We are looking for an Office Manager who:- has experience of working in a school office (desirable)
- has experience of working as part of an administrative or business team
- has experience of managing a small team
- has excellent communication skills in order to negotiate and liaise with our school community
- is flexible, well organised and able to prioritise
- has excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and have experience of databases and communications software
- can be a friendly and approachableperson at the front of the school, liaising with parents, young children, staff and visitors
- a 'good' school (Ofsted 2023).
- a friendly, dedicated and hard-working team; and
- a spacious, well-resourced, popular and over-subscribed school.
33.75 hours role - £26,320 to £28,280 pa
35 hours role - £27,300 to £29,320 pa
