We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at HMRC Bristol RC.
This is a varied role combining reception, administration, cleaning and facilities support. You will be one of the first points of contact for visitors and will play an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
What you'll do:- Provide a friendly and professional reception service to visitors and colleagues.
- Answer phones, manage emails, filing and general administration.
- Issue keys and support building security procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness across designated areas and complete cleaning tasks.
- Refill and maintain coffee and refreshment areas.
- Operate the till and complete cashing-up procedures following training.
- Support the café and mailroom when required.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards and faulty equipment.
- Assist with meeting room set-ups and the movement of furniture.
- Follow Health & Safety, COSHH, food safety and security procedures.
- Respond to customer queries and resolve or report issues appropriately.
- Complete required paperwork and attend team meetings.
- Provide additional cover for holidays and sickness when required.
- Support with securing the building at night.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the management team.
Essential:
- Good customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable and professional approach to work.
- Ability to follow Health & Safety and quality procedures.
- Good attention to detail and ability to complete tasks to the required standard.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to undertake all required training.
- Previous experience in reception, administration, cleaning, facilities or customer service.
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Experience working in a busy customer-facing environment.
