School Administrator
Are you an experienced school administrator looking for a rewarding role in a Hertfordshire primary school? Do you have experience of attendance, admissions and using Arbor?
We are working with a primary school in Hemel Hempstead seeking a highly organised and proactive Attendance and Admissions Officer to join the team from 1 September 2026. This is a term-time position combining responsibility for pupil attendance, admissions and accurate pupil records.
The Role- 26.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
- Start date:
1 September 2026 - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 8.30am–1.30pm
- Wednesday: 8.30am–3.30pm
- Monitor, analyse and report on pupil attendance
- Work with families to support improved attendance
- Coordinate school admissions procedures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil information
- Liaise with staff, the local authority and external agencies
- Primary school based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
- A role at the heart of the school's administrative team
- Strong focus on safeguarding, inclusion and supporting positive outcomes for every child
- The successful candidate will work closely with families, colleagues and external professionals
- Previous experience working within a school or educational setting
- Experience using Arbor Management Information System
- Experience monitoring, analysing and reporting attendance data
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Confident and professional communication with parents, carers and external agencies
- Accuracy and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Initiative, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
