Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main car dealership in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, for the position of Diagnostic Vehicle Technician. Salary up to £42,000 per annum plus performance-based bonus
Monday to Thursday working hours 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
Fridays with early finish at 4:30 pm
No weekend work required

Duties of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

Service and repair customer vehicles to manufacturer standards
Accurately complete job cards within designated time frames
Diagnose vehicle faults using industry-standard diagnostic equipment
Conduct routine servicing, repairs, and fault finding
Ensure all work is compliant with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
Maintain a high level of professionalism when communicating with customers
Contribute to a positive workshop environment, supporting team objectives

Requirements of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Automotive Servicing and Repair
Proven experience in vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and minor repairs
Full UK driving licence
Strong ability to work independently and within a team
Well-presented with excellent communication skills
Passion for delivering high standards in vehicle maintenance and customer service
