Do you want to help us take the Rock Drilling Tools business to the next level in the UK & Ireland? As our Business Development Manager, you’ll work across teams, customers, and partners to unlock new opportunities, strengthen our consumables focus, and make a real impact on our regional strategy.

At Epiroc, everything starts with people – people like you. As part of our global and regional organization, you will contribute to our mission of accelerating the transformation of the mining and construction industries. You will join a committed and collaborative team that works closely across divisions, customers, and partners to drive growth in Rock Drilling Tools and strengthen our “One Epiroc” approach.

Your mission

As Business Development Manager, Rock Drilling Tools for the UK & Ireland, you will lead the development and execution of the local Tools strategy based on regional priorities. You collaborate closely with sales teams and customers, ensuring that tools become a natural, confident, and value‑adding part of the national business.

In this role, you will:

  • Translate the regional Tools strategy into a local plan with targets, milestones, and regular performance follow-up.
  • Lead, inspire, and support the local sales teams to drive profitable growth and increase focus on tools and consumables.
  • Prepare major tools quotations (bits, hammers, pipes and bolts) and support the sales team in securing large contracts.
  • Build strong relationships with the national sales organization and collaborate with the Business Line Manager on pricing strategy.
  • Develop the direct vs. indirect sales strategy together with the national sales manager, and support indirect partners until a dedicated manager is appointed.
  • Act as the local Tools lead partner, providing product expertise and supporting stock levels, lead‑time questions, and supply‑chain processes.
  • Conduct customer visits, support product introductions, and lead rock drilling tools product trials – ensuring documentation in Salesforce and appropriate reporting.

This role requires travel across the territory.

You are a relationship‑builder who enjoys developing business and supporting teams. You thrive in a dynamic environment, work well with multiple projects at once, and bring ideas that move the business forward.

To succeed in this role, you bring:

  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably within construction or mining equipment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer‑relationship skills.
  • A structured, goal‑oriented, and self‑driven approach, with the ability to work independently as well in a team.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or marketing – or equivalent experience.
  • Experience from drilling environment is an advantage
