Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Location options: Hemel, Coventry, Basingstoke, Darlington, or Heywood) – Some travel to London required
Your RoleThe Waste and Circularity Contracts Manager is crucial for overseeing contracts within Canopy by Martin Brower across the UK and Ireland. This position ensures efficient procurement, strong supplier relationships, and optimised waste management services and circular solutions.
Key Responsibilities Contracts Management- Lead negotiations, implementation, and monitoring of waste and recycling contracts with various partners.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms and legal regulations.
- Assess contract performance and recommend enhancements to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Act as the primary contact for contractual inquiries, facilitating communication among stakeholders.
- Develop strategies to boost efficiency, lower costs, and enhance service quality.
- Identify circular economy opportunities within contracts in collaboration with suppliers.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory requirements to support procurement decisions.
- Oversee the complete supply chain process for waste and recycling services, including sourcing and logistics.
- Work with internal teams to forecast demand and allocate resources appropriately.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with key waste management service providers.
- Evaluate supplier performance and offer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Address disputes or issues with suppliers promptly to sustain strong partnerships.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Create regular reports for senior management on contract performance and cost management.
- Use data analysis to pinpoint areas for cost reduction and process optimisation.
- Knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulations), and UK & Ireland waste policies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Proficiency in contract management software and supply chain tools.
- Experience with budget management and cost control.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
