Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work for a Water, Wastewater and Civil Engineering specialist in the UK & Ireland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of quantity surveying experience who is looking to further develop their commercial skills and progress their career within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in the financial and contractual management of a variety of construction projects from inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist with the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans.

* Support the procurement process, including obtaining quotations and preparing subcontract packages.

* Help prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.

* Monitor project costs and assist with cost reporting.

* Review subcontractor applications and payments.

* Assist in the administration of contracts and commercial documentation.

* Support the preparation of tender submissions and commercial analysis.

* Maintain accurate records and project documentation.

* Liaise with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients as required.

The successful candidate will have:

* 1–2 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.

* A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline (or currently working towards one).

* Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills.

* Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
